Core treatmentHands-on treatment for the tension, pain and injuries that build up in everyday life. Our CMTBC registered massage therapists work from the clinic on Kingsway in Metrotown, a few minutes from Metrotown Station, and shape every session around what your body needs that day.
Your first visit opens with a short health history and a look at how you move, so your therapist can find where the restriction starts rather than only treating where it hurts.
Focused, hands-on work through the areas that need it, at a pressure you confirm as the session goes. You stay draped throughout and only the area being worked on is uncovered.
A short debrief with one or two simple things to do between visits, plus a suggested spacing for your next appointment if further treatment will help.
Registered massage therapy is the umbrella for most of the hands-on work we do. Deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, sports and relaxation techniques are not separate bookings here. Your therapist blends them inside a standard registered massage appointment, matched to your body and the pressure you like.
That means one visit can settle a tight lower back, work through a knot between the shoulder blades and calm a stress headache without you having to choose a single technique in advance. Tell us what is bothering you when you arrive and we adjust as we go, so you stay in control of the session from start to finish.
Every therapist at the clinic is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia, which is why your treatment is claimable under most extended health plans. If you want firmer, focused work on one area, ask for our deep tissue massage in Burnaby, and we will make that the plan for the day.
Anyone carrying everyday tension, recovering from a strain, or wanting regular maintenance between flare-ups. You can book directly without a doctor referral, whether this is your first massage or your fiftieth.
Deeper work can leave you a little tender for a day. Water and gentle movement help, and your therapist will always check the pressure is right before going firmer.
No. You can book registered massage therapy with us directly. Some extended health plans ask for a referral before they reimburse, so it is worth a quick check of your own plan.
We direct bill most major extended health providers. If we cannot bill yours, you get a detailed receipt to submit for reimbursement.
It depends on your goals. For an acute issue we might suggest weekly visits for a few weeks, then space them out. For maintenance, many patients come in about once a month.
