Accessibility statement

Getting treatment should not be the hard part. This page sets out how accessible our clinic and website currently are, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us what you need so your visit goes smoothly.

Last reviewed July 2026 Targeting WCAG 2.2 AA

Draft for review. Every physical claim below — doorway widths, washroom, elevator, parking — must be measured and confirmed at the clinic before publishing. Do not publish an access claim you have not verified.

1. Our commitment

Nova Restore Wellness is a two-therapist clinic and we would rather adapt than turn someone away. If something about the building, the booking process or a treatment position does not work for you, tell us when you book and we will plan around it.

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA on this website and to keep the clinic usable for patients with mobility, sensory, cognitive and communication needs. We are not claiming perfection — section 4 lists what we know is not there yet.

2. Getting into the clinic

Elevator access — we are on the second floor at unit 202, reached by elevator from the Kingsway entrance. [Confirm elevator dimensions and whether the entrance door is powered.]

Parking — parking is available on site off Kingsway. [Confirm whether an accessible stall is available and how close it is to the entrance.]

Transit — Metrotown SkyTrain station is a short, level walk along Kingsway, with bus stops on the same block.

Inside the clinic — treatment rooms are on one level with no internal steps. [Confirm doorway widths, turning space beside the table, and washroom accessibility.]

3. Accessible treatment

Massage therapy is adaptable. Tell us what you need and your therapist will plan the session around it:

  • Treatment seated, side-lying or fully clothed if getting on the table is difficult or uncomfortable
  • Extra time in the appointment for transfers, changing or breaks, at no extra cost
  • A support person, interpreter or service animal is welcome in the treatment room
  • Sensory adjustments — lights down, no music, no scented oils, and instructions in writing rather than spoken
  • Help completing the intake form by phone, or on paper at the clinic, if the online form is not workable

Consent is checked throughout every session, and you can change or stop treatment at any point without explaining why.

4. This website

The site is built to be used with a keyboard and a screen reader: headings are in order, form fields have visible labels, focus is visible on every control, colour is never the only way information is conveyed, and text meets AA contrast at body sizes.

Known gaps we are working on:

Alternative text on photographs is being written and reviewed page by page.
The embedded map is provided by a third party and may not be fully keyboard navigable — our address and directions are always available as text.
Online booking is handled by an external system whose accessibility we do not control. Booking by phone is always available. [Confirm the vendor and their accessibility statement.]

We review the site against WCAG 2.2 AA when pages change, and at least once a year. [Confirm who owns this review and how it is tested.]

5. Tell us what you need

If something here is wrong, out of date, or does not work for you, we want to hear about it — including if a barrier stopped you booking. Call or email and we will respond within two business days, and tell you what we can change and when.
